Our new track "Old Jazzman," with Phillipo Blake, is out now on LoFi Studio 88. This is one of those records I took from the first note to the final master myself, so it's a good one to say a little about how it was built.

The record

"Old Jazzman" is a Nevelskiy & Phillipo Blake release. On this one I handled the whole chain: I wrote and arranged the track, produced it, and did the recording, mixing and mastering myself. When one person carries a record from composition through to the master, the sound stays consistent from the first decision to the last — nothing gets lost in the handoffs.


The release is out on LoFi Studio 88, one of the labels I run.
